Town In Bloom 2020
Mary Anderson shared that over 40 people from the community have donated in response to her Town in Bloom post card appeal, and the amount she has received to date is a whopping $1,280! She mentioned that John Fantauzzi sent a check for $50. John, we miss you.
Mary described the importance of “dead heading” flowers at our several Town in Bloom sites, mentioning that in order for the plants to keep blooming, the blooms that are finished need to be removed. That’s something everyone in the club can help with, not just those charged with the care of certain TIB gardens. So, folks, if you happen by our garden at the Library or are passing any of our others, take a minute to pull a weed or dead head a couple of plants.
Beth Brownell reported on the TIB weeding party last Saturday. She encouraged us to weed on our own at the intersection of Rt. 50 when the spirit moved us.
Mary Anderson showed us the TIB solicitation card which was sent to all Burnt Hills mail routes. The card features a painting by Val Mosier.
